Your data stays on your Mac
Closia works without an account and without collecting data. Here is exactly what leaves your Mac, and why.
Updated October 25, 2026
In the app
- No usage analytics, no tracking, no ads. Your settings stay on your Mac.
- License: when you activate, then once a week, the app sends Closia's license server your key, an anonymous identifier of your Mac (an encrypted fingerprint, never its serial number) and its name, to check the license. Nothing else.
- Agent mode: signals from Claude Code and Codex stay on your Mac. Closia only keeps a session ID, the project folder, the event type and the time. Never your prompts, the answers or your files.
- Updates: the app checks the list of versions on getclosia.com, like a web page.
On this site
- Vercel Web Analytics audience measurement: page views and referrers, with no cookies or personal identifiers.
- No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.
Payment
Stripe is Closia's merchant of record: it handles the payment, the invoice and VAT. Closia never sees your card. Payment data follows Stripe's privacy policy.
After your purchase, Closia keeps your email address and license key to send it to you (through Resend) and help you if needed. The license server is hosted by Convex.
